What do people think about Caravan and Motorhome Club

Customer feedback about the Caravan and Motorhome Club indicates a mixed overall company reputation. Some customers have expressed frustration with the online booking system, reporting difficulties in securing overseas campsite reservations and monetary losses, alongside complaints about inefficient customer service when attempting to contact the call center for assistance. This suggests challenges with the usability of the Club's digital services and some ongoing dissatisfaction spanning several years. Additionally, there is discontent among customers with regard to insurance policies, specifically the Red Pennant European travel insurance. A case was highlighted wherein a customer did not receive satisfactory support from the Club after their claim was rejected, pointing to potential shortcomings in the Club's complaint resolution processes and communication.

Conversely, many reviews praise the Club for its helpful resources, such as the monthly magazine and members' book, which enhance their trip planning experiences. They find value in the quality and pricing of sites, reflecting a loyal customer base. Recurring themes of friendly wardens and well-maintained facilities contribute positively to the customer experience, despite some noted improvements needed for infrastructure like facilities blocks. Seasonal pitches, however, elicit mixed reactions, with concerns raised over the fairness of booking accessibility. Lastly, while there are compliments for the high standards maintained across sites even amidst challenging economic circumstances, there are lingering issues with certain amenities such as WiFi connectivity and hairdryer functionality, which could indicate a need for better on-site services and infrastructure modernization.

Every time I try to use "their" preferred method of communication ie online I fail to get anywhere. Using the online booking I have lost money in trying to book oversees campsites and I spend needless time on my phone trying to get someone to make changes at their callcentre on my behalf. This isn't a recent problem it has been happening for a number of years but it is getting worse by the day

Always easy to find sites and very reasonable prices Love receiving my magazine every month and reading through it making notes on suggestions of where to stay The members book comes with me on every trip and is never too far away from me when at home, in fact looking through it now for a cheeky weekend away in March made even easier by having all the sites in the different areas Would definitely recommend to anyone with a motorhome or caravan 😁😁

Paul Childs Rated Caravan and Motorhome Club 2-Star on Trustpilot and said...

Very happy with CMC campsites but extremely disappointed with the Red Pennant European travel insurance we were sold. Delays in repairing our caravan’s broken axle forced us to cancel a 7-week trip to Spain. £700 lost on non-refundable deposits is not covered by this insurance. After our claim was rejected our letter of complaint to the Director-General of CMC was simply passed back to the insurer. When the complaint was not upheld we were told that CMC would be in touch but we have heard nothing from them.
